Part of the wider Vineyard USA movement of more than 500 churches, Hope Vineyard describes itself as a community of disciples partnering with Jesus to redeem and restore the world. Members gather each Sunday at 10:00 a.m. for contemporary worship, prayer, and Bible-based teaching, and the church also runs an active children's ministry, small groups, a distinctive Immanuel Prayer ministry, and a long-standing partnership with disciple-making work in West Africa.

Sundays at Hope Vineyard

The Sunday service begins promptly at 10:00 a.m. and includes contemporary music, prayer, and practical, Bible-based teaching. Song lyrics are projected on screens so everyone can follow along, and people are welcome to sing, listen, reflect, or pray in whatever way feels right. The worship team, led by Worship Pastor Frank Oros, is there to help the gathered congregation turn its attention toward God rather than to perform for an audience.

Greeters welcome visitors at the door and are happy to point first-timers toward the cafe, the worship area, or the children's classrooms. A Prayer Ministry Team is available after every service to pray personally with anyone who has a need or would simply like encouragement. Many people arrive early and stay after the service to visit, meet others, and ask questions.

For those who cannot attend in person, services are livestreamed on YouTube, and recent messages can be watched anytime from the sermons library.

What to Wear and Where to Park

Hope Vineyard has no dress code. On any given Sunday you will see jeans and T-shirts alongside business casual clothing, and the church's only request is that visitors wear whatever makes them comfortable. Parking is available directly outside the church off Telegraph Road, and team members are happy to help anyone who needs assistance entering the building.

The church encourages visitors to arrive a few minutes early to get oriented. Free coffee is served in the cafe beginning at 9:30 a.m., and nursery and preschool check-in opens at 9:45 a.m.

Adventure Kids Club

Hope Vineyard's children's ministry is called Adventure Kids Club, and it runs during the 10:00 a.m. Sunday service. The program exists to partner with families as children learn to follow Jesus and experience God's love. Each Sunday may include children's worship, Bible teaching, prayer, creative projects, activities, and time to build friendships.

Children are welcomed into age-appropriate classrooms, each designed for their stage of development:

• Jungle Cruisers - infants through age three, cared for by attentive volunteers with age-appropriate toys and opportunities to interact with other children.
• Treasure Hunters - preschool through first grade, with worship, Bible lessons, Scripture memory, crafts, activities, and creative storytelling.
• Mountain Climbers - second through fifth grade, exploring Scripture more deeply, praying for one another, and learning how to use their gifts, with crafts, discussion, and creative Bible presentations.

Adventure Kids Club takes safety seriously. Every volunteer is trained before serving in a classroom, and two adults are present in each room. A secure check-in and pickup process ensures children leave only with a parent, guardian, or approved adult. If a child needs a parent during the service, the team will contact the family right away. Children whose families have allergies, sensory considerations, or other accommodations are supported individually. The Heart of Worship

Worship at Hope Vineyard draws on the Vineyard movement's more than four decades of worship history. The style is contemporary, but the church is quick to point out that worship is about far more than musical style. It is something the whole congregation participates in together, celebrating who God is, remembering what He has done, and opening hearts to His presence.

Hope Vineyard summarizes its worship philosophy through three values: accessibility, intimacy, and authenticity.

• Accessibility means everyone can participate, regardless of musical ability, church background, or familiarity with a song. Lyrics are displayed, and there is no pressure to respond in any particular way. The musicians serve the congregation rather than showcase themselves.
• Intimacy reflects the Vineyard's belief that God desires a real and personal relationship with His people. Many Vineyard songs are simple prayers or expressions of love, often shaped by Scripture, written to help people speak honestly to God whether the moment is joyful or reflective.
• Authenticity means honest worship. Questions, struggles, gratitude, grief, and hope can all be brought before God, trusting that He meets people with grace. Authentic worship also means the words sung on Sunday shape how people live throughout the week.

Six Values That Shape the Church

Hope Vineyard's core values describe the kind of community the church wants to become as its members follow Jesus together.

Biblical truth and empowering grace. Hope Vineyard holds Scripture as truth and seeks to apply it to everyday life, recognizing that God's empowering grace is needed to understand the Bible and live as Jesus lived.

Welcoming community and accountable relationships. Following Jesus' example of offering belonging before believing, the church welcomes seekers and believers at every stage, while also recognizing that spiritual growth requires accountability within relationships where people can speak the truth in love.

Mercy and justice. The church follows Jesus by showing kindness and meeting the physical, spiritual, and emotional needs of others, and by working toward justice that challenges the circumstances keeping people in need.

Naturally supernatural. Hope Vineyard believes the Holy Spirit continues to heal, restore, guide, and provide, and looks for God's work in everyday life without hype or manipulation.

Beliefs and the Vineyard Connection

Hope Vineyard stands within historic Christian teaching and affirms the Apostles', Nicene, and Chalcedonian Creeds. The church describes itself as orthodox, evangelical, and empowered evangelical, with beliefs rooted in Jesus Christ, the gospel, and the teaching of the Bible.

The church practices both water baptism and the Lord's Supper as ordinances committed by Jesus to the Church and available to all believers. It also believes in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit and the exercise of all the biblical gifts of the Spirit, and practices the laying on of hands for the empowering of the Spirit, for healing, and for the recognition and empowering of those called to lead and serve.

Small Groups and Community Life

Church at Hope Vineyard is more than a Sunday service. Small groups meet in homes and other locations across the St. Louis area, giving people a place to build meaningful relationships, study Scripture, pray, encourage one another, ask honest questions, and share life beyond Sunday morning. Groups meet in different formats and at different times, making it easier to find a community that fits a particular schedule or season of life. Men's Breakfast

Hope Vineyard's men meet monthly for breakfast at First Watch on Telegraph Road. Each man is responsible for his own meal, and RSVPs help the group ensure adequate seating. The relaxed gathering gives the men of the church a chance to connect outside of Sunday morning.

The Hedge: Ladies Bible Study and Lunch

Women at Hope Vineyard connect through a ministry called The Hedge. On the first Wednesday of every month, ladies gather at the church for a Discovery Bible Study exploring influential women in the Bible. Participants bring their own dinner at 6:00 p.m., eat together, and begin the Bible study at 6:30 p.m. The Hedge also gathers for a monthly lunch after the Sunday service for fellowship. Childcare is not available for the Wednesday evening study.

Immanuel Prayer: A Distinctive Ministry

One of the most distinctive offerings at Hope Vineyard is Immanuel Prayer, a guided prayer approach that helps people become more aware of Jesus as a source of grace, peace, freedom, and healing. The name Immanuel means "God with us," a reminder that Jesus is present in every experience and season of life.

The primary purpose of Immanuel Prayer is to help participants grow in intimacy with Jesus. Although someone may experience greater peace, freedom, healing, or a new perspective, the central goal is a stronger and more personal connection with Him. Sessions are offered by appointment and facilitated by a trained Immanuel Prayer Coach, who provides gentle guidance while the participant remains actively involved throughout the prayer. Participants are encouraged to communicate what they are experiencing, thinking, or sensing, and to move through the process at a comfortable pace.

Immanuel Prayer can be especially helpful for those carrying past experiences, painful memories, fear, shame, unresolved conflict, or false beliefs that affect the way they relate to God, themselves, and others. The goal is not to remain focused on pain but to recognize Jesus' presence and receive His truth, care, and perspective.

West Africa and the Vineyard Mali Partnership

Hope Vineyard's international mission focus is West Africa, with a primary emphasis on the Vineyard Mali Partnership. Through this partnership, the church supports locally led work that encourages disciples to make disciples, churches to multiply, and communities to experience the good news of Jesus through both words and compassionate action.

The church believes effective missions are built through lasting relationships, humble partnership, prayer, and the leadership of people who understand their own communities. The Vineyard Mali Partnership connects churches and ministry leaders in support of disciple-making work in Mali and the surrounding region, focusing on encouraging local leaders, strengthening disciple-making churches, and engaging people and communities with limited access to the message of Jesus.

Hope Vineyard's involvement also includes Disciple Making Movements, an approach that equips ordinary followers of Jesus to help others become disciples who can then make disciples themselves. As this continues, new communities of faith can form and multiply through relationships, obedience to Scripture, prayer, and dependence on the Holy Spirit.

Board member Robert Stovall serves as the North America Regional Director for New Generations and brings more than thirty years of pastoral ministry experience, including work as an associate pastor, church planter, area pastor, coach, and mission partnership leader. He helps connect Hope Vineyard with the broader work in Mali and helps guide pastors, church planters, and missionaries.

Mercy Ministry

Hope Vineyard has a long history of helping people in the community who need encouragement, support, or practical assistance. The Mercy Ministry focuses on sharing the love of Jesus by responding to practical needs, guided by Jesus' words in Matthew 25 about caring for the hungry, the thirsty, the stranger, those who need clothing, the sick, and those in prison. Because needs change from season to season, the ministry continually looks for ways to make a meaningful difference with the people, resources, and opportunities God has given.

Meet the Staff and Leadership

Hope Vineyard is led by Pastor Francois De Koker, who joined the church as Lead Pastor in 2026. Originally from South Africa, he and his wife, Dantè, have made St. Louis home with their two sons, Elisha and Ruben. Together, they are passionate about helping people grow closer to Jesus, build authentic community, and discover a church where everyone feels welcome.

Amanda Perkins serves as Children's Ministry Director, overseeing Adventure Kids Club and supporting the church's administrative work. Frank Oros serves as Worship Pastor, leading worship and helping create space for the congregation to encounter God together.

The church is also served by a Board of Directors that includes Andy Bundesen, Alan Epperson, Robert Stovall, and Robyn Wand.

Hope Vineyard Church is located at 2923 Telegraph Road in St. Louis, Missouri 63125, with parking directly outside the church off Telegraph Road.

From north or west county, take I-270 South. After passing I-55, the highway becomes I-255 East. Take the Telegraph Road exit and turn left. Hope Vineyard is approximately one half mile down Telegraph Road on the left. From south or southwest St. Louis, take I-44 East or I-55 North to I-270 South, then follow the same route. From Illinois, take I-55 North to I-255 East and the Telegraph Road exit, turning left, or take I-255 North and West across the Jefferson Barracks Bridge, take the Telegraph Road exit, and turn right. Hope Vineyard will be on the left about a half mile down Telegraph Road.
