Preteens in fourth, fifth, and sixth grades join THRIVE Preteen Ministry in Building 1, Room 104. THRIVE combines heartfelt worship, crazy games, age-appropriate Bible study, and a delicious snack, with each month's lessons built around a single theme. The Minister of Music, Mark Wooley, heads up THRIVE on Wednesday nights.
Students in seventh through twelfth grade gather for Ignite Youth Ministry, which meets in the Dining Hall in Building 3. Ignite is built around fun and games, fellowship, and sharing God's Word, and the program carries a stated vision of reaching unsaved students with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Truth Trackers, THRIVE, and Ignite: A Ministry for Every Age
The children's and youth ministries are organized by school grade, so a family with several children can drop them off in age-appropriate rooms on Sunday morning, Wednesday evening, or both. Each program has its own identity and meeting place, but they share a common purpose of grounding young people in Scripture.
Truth Trackers is for children from age four through third grade. The stated mission of the ministry is to reach boys and girls ages 4 through the 3rd grade with the Good News of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and to help them grow in their faith as they live it out in their everyday lives. A verse the program points to is 2 Timothy 2:15 from the King James Version: Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
THRIVE takes the next step up, gathering fourth through sixth graders. Each Wednesday the room in Building 1 fills with games, snacks, and a themed lesson, all designed so that the group has fun growing closer to Jesus as they grow closer together in Christian fellowship.
Ignite takes seventh through twelfth graders into a separate space in the Dining Hall. The youth director's stated focus is to reach the unsaved students with the Gospel of Jesus Christ and to help those already in the church grow in their relationship with God, as well as each other.
PrimeTimers, Ladies Fellowship, and the Men's Prayer Breakfast
Adults at Temple Baptist have several smaller, named communities to plug into beyond Sunday worship and Wednesday prayer.
PrimeTimers is the church's senior adult group, currently meeting on the fourth Tuesday of each month at 10:30 AM in the Dining Hall. The gatherings include fellowship, a sing-along, door prizes, games, and entertainment. Tom and Becky Porter, who have served at Temple Baptist since January 2000, built this ministry themselves, and it has met the needs of many senior adults in the Brevard County area.
Ladies Fellowship meets on the second Saturday of each month from 10:00 to 11:30 AM, also in the Dining Hall in Building 3. The morning includes worship, devotion, and a celebration of the birthdays for that month, with brunch served. Becky Porter heads up the ladies' ministry along with her work in children's ministry.
The Men's Prayer Breakfast gathers on the first Saturday of each month from 8:00 to 10:00 AM in the Dining Hall. The two hours include a hearty breakfast, encouragement, and an informal time to share blessings and burdens before the Lord, praying together and trusting Him alone to meet needs. All men and young men are welcome to join monthly.
Worship Team and TBC LIVE
The TBC Worship Team practices every Thursday evening beginning at 6:30 PM, learning new music to lead on the following Sunday. The team is always looking for new members, and prospective singers are invited to come to a practice and join in the blessing of singing for the church's Living Hope, Jesus. Music is led by Mark Wooley, the Minister of Music, who plays piano and leads the worship team in services. Mark and his wife Kelly returned to Titusville and Temple in 2000; Mark grew up in the early days of Temple Baptist.
