Worship and Prayer Fill the Week
Harvest Tabernacle Church in Eagle Rock runs a seven-day rhythm of services and gatherings that reflects the United Pentecostal Church International's emphasis on prayer, Bible study, and Spirit-filled worship. The full weekly schedule includes Sunday School at 9:45 AM for all ages, Sunday Worship at 10:45 AM in English, a Spanish service Sundays at 3:00 PM, and a Sunday Prayer Service at 6:30 PM. In-person prayer meetings are held Mondays and Tuesdays at 7:00 PM, a Prayer and Fasting service meets Wednesdays at 10:00 AM, the Spanish Bible Study gathers Wednesdays at 7:30 PM, and the English Bible Study meets Thursdays at 7:00 PM. Online ZOOM prayer runs Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday evenings at 7:00 PM for those who want to join from home. The Ladies Ministry adds a second Friday gathering each month for prayer and Bible study, while the Men's Ministry meets the fourth Friday of each month to pray for families, the church, the community, and one another.
What a First-Time Visitor Can Expect
Visitors are greeted at the door with a smile and offered a visitor card to fill out so the church can follow up and connect. The morning opens at 9:45 AM with Sunday School for adults, children, and youth, giving the whole family a place to grow together. During the 10:45 AM worship service, a separate Children's Church program runs for younger kids, with Bible stories, songs, and crafts designed to plant seeds of faith.
Worship at Harvest Tabernacle is expressive and full of life. The music team leads the congregation in singing, clapping, and raising hands in praise. Dancers move in the Spirit, musicians play instruments, and prayers are lifted aloud in unison. After the message, an altar call invites anyone who needs prayer to come forward, and the pastor and his wife make a point of meeting first-time guests personally afterward.
How They Worship
The "How We Worship" teaching at Harvest Tabernacle lays out the expressions of worship the congregation practices together. Members worship "in spirit and in truth" (John 4:24), with raised hands (Psalm 63:4; Psalm 134:2), clapping (Psalm 47:1), singing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs with melody in the heart (Ephesians 5:19), musical instruments (Psalm 150), joyful noise (Psalm 66:1), audible corporate prayer (Acts 4:24), dancing (Psalm 149:3), and open participation through testimonies, teaching, preaching, tongues, revelation, and interpretation (1 Corinthians 14:26). The atmosphere is intentionally participatory rather than spectator-style, and visitors can join in at whatever level feels comfortable.
What Harvest Tabernacle Believes
As a United Pentecostal Church International congregation, Harvest Tabernacle holds to the Oneness Pentecostal distinctives. The Bible is taught as the infallible Word of God and the authority for salvation and Christian living. The church confesses one God who has revealed Himself as Father, in His Son Jesus Christ, and as the Holy Spirit, with Jesus Christ both God and man, God manifested in flesh.
Salvation is received by grace through faith in the atoning sacrifice of Jesus Christ. Members obey the gospel through repentance, water baptism by immersion in the name of Jesus Christ, and the baptism of the Holy Spirit, with the initial physical sign of speaking in other tongues as the Spirit gives the utterance. The church teaches holy living, joyful worship, and the continuation of the spiritual gifts, including divine healing, for today. Harvest Tabernacle also affirms the personal return of Jesus Christ, the final resurrection, the final judgment, eternal life for the righteous, and eternal death for the unrighteous.
A four-step "Know God" pathway outlines how a person becomes a Christian at Harvest Tabernacle: self-awareness (recognizing sin and need for God's grace), repentance (turning from sin), water baptism in Jesus' name, and Holy Spirit baptism with the evidence of tongues. The baptism in Jesus' name is by full immersion, symbolizing burial with Christ and resurrection to new life, and the Holy Spirit baptism is taught as an empowering experience that identifies the believer with the resurrection of Jesus.
The Spanish Ministry
Pastor and Mrs. Albert Bautista lead the Spanish Ministry at Harvest Tabernacle, providing the church's ministry in Spanish throughout the week. A Spanish service meets Sundays at 3:00 PM in person and online, and a Spanish Bible Study gathers Wednesdays at 7:30 PM, also available online. Spanish-language sermons are streamed on the church's YouTube channel so viewers across the region can follow along.
No Woman Walks Alone: The Ladies Ministry
Under the leadership of J Batman-Hinds, the Ladies Ministry carries the motto "No Woman Walks Alone." The ministry exists to make sure that every woman at Harvest Tabernacle has sisterhood, encouragement, and prayer support. On the second Friday of each month, the ladies gather for prayer, lifting up one another, the church family, and the community. Bible study follows on the same evening, with the group seeking a deeper understanding of God's Word. On the third Saturday of each month, the ministry hosts a brunch for relaxed fellowship, story-sharing, and friendship-building. The annual ladies conference, also called "No Woman Walks Alone," has become a signature outreach that draws women from across the region for two days of worship, teaching, and connection, and is held at the church.
The Men's Ministry
Edwin Jovel leads the Men's Ministry with a vision to give men of every age a space to grow in their walk with God and with one another. The group is committed to raising up men who fear God, lead with integrity, cultivate spiritual disciplines, and reflect the life of Jesus Christ. Every fourth Friday at 7:00 PM, the men gather to pray for their families, the church, the community, and each other.
Children and Sunday School
Pastor Gabriel Wang oversees the Sunday School, which meets at 9:45 AM each Sunday and serves adults, children, and youth in age-appropriate classes. During the 10:45 AM worship service, Children's Church provides a separate program where younger kids learn about God through Bible stories, songs, and crafts. The result is that the entire family is in a classroom or service at the same time, learning together across generations.
A Strong Prayer Culture
Prayer is woven into the life of Harvest Tabernacle. Beyond the Sunday prayer service and the multiple weekly prayer gatherings, the church maintains an active prayer ministry that receives requests online through a dedicated form. Members and friends can submit prayer needs at any time, and the prayer team responds personally. Online ZOOM prayer meetings run five nights a week, and members can call the church office to join or to request personal prayer for themselves or someone they love.
Leadership
Pastor and Mrs. Maurice Clennon serve as Senior Pastors of Harvest Tabernacle. Pastor and Mrs. Albert Bautista lead the Spanish Ministry. J Batman-Hinds directs the Ladies Ministry, Edwin Jovel leads the Men's Ministry, and Pastor Gabriel Wang oversees Sunday School. Together this team oversees the worship services, ministries, and pastoral care of the congregation, and the pastors are available after services to meet guests and pray with anyone who would like prayer.
Online Services and Giving
Every service is livestreamed on the church's YouTube channel and on its online church platform, so anyone unable to attend in person can still take part in worship, prayer, and preaching. Sermon recordings are archived on YouTube in both English and Spanish. Online giving is handled through the Vanco Mobile app, which can be downloaded for iPhone or Android, and gifts can also be made in person by check or cash during any service. Checks may be mailed to the church address.
