A Pentecostal Home on West 7th Street
Legacy Church: Full Gospel Temple stands on the north side of Muncie at 212 West 7th Street, a brick-and-glass presence in the heart of Delaware County, Indiana. Sundays on West 7th
The Sunday rhythm at Legacy Church begins earlier than most Pentecostal services. The main Sunday Morning Service follows at 10 AM and runs until noon. During the service, age-appropriate ministries run concurrently: a staffed nursery for infants through age three, Noah's Room for preschoolers, Children's Church for first through fifth graders, and Catalyst Youth for grades six through twelve. The evening service begins at 6:30 PM and runs until 8 PM. Both Sunday services are open to visitors, and the morning service is livestreamed on Facebook and YouTube for those unable to attend in person.

- Catalyst Youth, Legacy Church's middle and high school ministry, which meets weekly for worship, prayer, and discussion aimed at helping teenagers know their identity in Christ.
For families with children in multiple age groups, Wednesday night has become a one-stop evening: drop off the kids at Royal Rangers, send the teens upstairs to Catalyst, and join the adults for Life Group, all in the same building, all at the same hour.
Children's Ministry from Nursery Through Fifth Grade
Legacy Church takes a tiered approach to children's ministry, with each age group met at its own level.
The Nursery serves infants through age three. Volunteers care for babies and toddlers in a space centered on play, song and dance, and prayer, and the room's leaders emphasize simple practices like love, kindness, generosity, and gratitude as toddlers begin to form relationships.
Noah's Room is for children three years old through kindergarten. Preschoolers explore God's wonder and creativity through Bible stories, worship, song and dance, and related activities. Teachers introduce familiar Bible characters and stories as the children develop early literacy skills.
Children's Church, for first through fifth graders, is described as "the place to be to learn God's Word and see the love of God in action." Creative Bible lessons, energetic worship, and engaging activities are the weekly rhythm. The children's ministry team, Larry and Karen Massie, oversees this age range across Sunday mornings, Sunday evenings, and the Wednesday Royal Rangers program.
A practical detail worth noting for visiting families: a hot breakfast is served at 9 AM on Sunday mornings for all children and youth, and a van ministry provides transportation. The office asks families to contact them in advance to coordinate rides.
Catalyst Youth: Sixth Through Twelfth Grade
Catalyst Youth Ministry is the church's middle and high school ministry. The name reflects the group's stated goal: to be a catalyst for teens to become courageous leaders who influence culture while pointing to Jesus. The ministry gathers teens from "diverse backgrounds who seek to know Jesus Christ in His fullness," and the team describes its work as helping young people "live out the gospel everyday before the people that God brings us to."

Deena Miller directs the youth ministry overall, and is supported by three staff leaders: Jessica Chapman oversees middle school, Tyler Almada oversees junior high, and Nilson Smith oversees senior high. The Forge Men's Ministry and EmpowHER Ladies Ministry
Beyond the Monday night Bible study and Sunday morning services, Legacy Church runs two adult ministry tracks built around shared life stages.
The Forge is the men's ministry, open to men of all ages. The group describes its purpose as great fellowship, group events, and studying the Word of God together: "learning to walk through life together, IN CHRIST, as Men of God." The ministry leans on Proverbs 27:17 as its anchor verse: "As iron sharpens iron, so a man sharpens the countenance of his friends."
EmpowHER is the women's ministry counterpart. Open to women of all ages, EmpowHER mirrors the Forge's structure: fellowship, group events, and Bible study focused on walking through life together "IN CHRIST, as Women of God." Both ministries are designed to run alongside the church's main Sunday and Wednesday programming, giving adults an additional smaller community within the larger congregation.
Centershot Archery
One of the more distinctive offerings at Legacy Church is Centershot Archery, an outreach ministry for ages eight and up that uses the life skill of archery to share the gospel of Jesus Christ. Centershot meets as part of the Wednesday night lineup and as a separate outreach tool, giving the church a way to connect with families and youth in the Muncie community who might not otherwise walk through the doors on a Sunday morning. The program pairs practical skill-building with Scripture, treating archery instruction as a discipleship conversation.
What Legacy Church Believes
Legacy Church's statement of faith is classically Pentecostal, rooted in a high view of Scripture and a working belief in the gifts of the Holy Spirit. The full statement includes the following points:
- Salvation through Jesus Christ. The church teaches that there is salvation through confession of Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, citing Acts 4:12, Romans 10:9-10, and John 14:6.
- The one true God in three Persons. The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit are one living and true God, referencing Genesis 1:2 and 1:27, Matthew 28:19, and I John 5:7.
- The inspired Word of God. The Holy Bible is the inspired, infallible Word of God (II Timothy 3:16; II Peter 1:20-21).
- The virgin birth and resurrection of Christ. Jesus Christ, conceived of the Virgin Mary, is the only begotten Son of the Father. He was crucified, buried, rose from the dead, ascended to heaven, and now intercedes at the right hand of the Father (Luke 1:26-33; Hebrews 7:25).
- Justification by faith. Believers are declared righteous under the blood of Jesus when they repent of their sins and believe in Him (Acts 13:38-39; Romans 5:1; I Corinthians 6:11; Mark 1:5).
- Baptism in the Holy Spirit with the initial sign of speaking in tongues. The baptism of the Holy Spirit, accompanied by speaking in other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance, is taught as the initial evidence of this experience, along with the operation of the nine gifts of the Spirit (Acts 2:4; Acts 10:44-46; Acts 19:6; I Corinthians 12:4-11).
- Water baptism by immersion. Believers are baptized in water in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost (Matthew 3:11; Matthew 28:18-19).
- Divine healing. Divine healing for the body is available to all who believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, while the church does not condemn medical science (Acts 3:2-12; Acts 5:15-16; James 5:14-15).
- The Atonement. Every blessing from God comes through the merits of Christ's complete sacrifice at Calvary (Romans 5:11; James 1:16-17).
- The Second Coming of Christ. Jesus Christ will return, and the church awaits His appearing (Acts 1:10-11; I Thessalonians 4:13-18; Revelation 1:7).
- The necessity of being born again. A person must be born again to spend eternity with Jesus. Those who die outside of Christ will not share in His glory, while those who die "in Him" will share in His glory in heaven forever (Daniel 12:2; Matthew 25:46; John 5:29; Jude 1:7).
- The sacredness of marriage and family. Marriage between one man and one woman and family commitment are foundational values the church actively promotes (Ephesians 5:31-33; Ephesians 6:1-4; Hebrews 13:4; Matthew 19:5; Leviticus 18:22; Genesis 2:24).
The statement is read as a whole and is the lens through which the church preaches, teaches, and organizes its ministries, including its Pentecostal distinctives such as speaking in tongues and the operation of the spiritual gifts.

Legacy Church's mission footprint extends well beyond Muncie.
