A Church on the Hill in Bridgeville
Calvary Full Gospel Church sits at 538 Hickory Grade Road on a 35-acre property in Bridgeville, Pennsylvania, a few miles southwest of Pittsburgh in South Fayette Township. The congregation began on January 12, 1992, when seventy charter members started meeting at Streams Elementary School in Upper St. Clair. A few months earlier, on July 24, 1991, the Hickman family of Bridgeville had given the fledgling group the land that would become the church's permanent home, fulfilling a dream of seeing a "church on the hill" for the community. Construction began in April 1992, and on January 16, 1994, the building was dedicated to the Lord. Today Pastor Bob Pilardi shepherds the same body of believers into a fourth decade of ministry in the South Hills.
Sunday Mornings at Ten
Sunday is the centerpiece of the week at Calvary. Worship, prayer, and the preaching of God's Word fill the sanctuary beginning at 10:00 AM. Visitors are invited to come just as they are; dress runs the spectrum from casual to Sunday best, and the bulletin of upcoming events promises that Sundays are "the best day of the week." Teaching is rooted in the inerrancy of scripture, and the church motto captures the heartbeat of every gathering: "Conveying the truth from the Bible. Nothing more. Nothing less." Wednesday Evenings and Weekday Bible Studies
Beyond Sunday, Calvary's calendar keeps the Word in front of its people throughout the week. A Wednesday Evening Chapel meets at 7:00 PM in the Chapel and features topical studies along with occasional guest speakers. Two long-running weekly studies anchor the ministry to adults. The Women's Bible Study meets Tuesdays at 10:00 AM in the Chapel, and the Men's Bible Study meets Wednesdays at 9:00 AM, also in the Chapel. A Young Adults Bible Study gathers every other Monday at 7:00 PM at the Farmhouse, where young adults from the church connect and study scripture together.
Children, Pre-Teens, and Youth
Calvary takes seriously its call to the next generation, with four graded ministries designed so that every child has a place to belong. Nursery and Early Childhood care is available during the Sunday service for children ages 1 to 3, in a safe, age-appropriate space where parents can worship with peace of mind. Kids Ministry serves ages 4 through second grade and begins the morning with Kids Praise in the Chapel, followed by Sunday School in a smaller classroom setting. Pre-Teen Ministry gathers students in grades 3 through 8 each Sunday for Sunday School, with an additional Pre-Teen Praise on the second and fourth Sundays of the month. Youth Ministry covers grades 5 through 12 and offers Junior Youth Group for middle schoolers, Senior Youth Group for high schoolers, and Youth Cafe - a monthly gathering for grades 9 to 12 that meets at 10:00 AM on the third Sunday in the Calvary Farmhouse. Greeters and volunteers help new families find the right classroom when they arrive.
A Place to Serve
The church teaches that serving in the Kingdom of God is central to the Christian walk, and a wide range of volunteer teams invite members to put their faith into action. Behind the scenes, sound and media teams run the livestream, screens, and audio for Sunday services, while worship teams use musical and vocal gifts to lead the congregation. Hospitality teams serve as greeters and ushers each Sunday morning. Prayer teams intercede for the church and community, and missions teams support both local outreach and global work. In addition to in-church placements, teachers and helpers for the nursery, Sunday School, and youth programs provide the backbone of family ministry. The church office, open Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM, helps newcomers connect to the right team.

Foundational Beliefs
The doctrinal foundation Calvary teaches and confesses is brief and traditional. The church believes in one God existing as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, including the full deity of Christ. It holds to the inerrancy of scripture as the basis for all doctrine, affirms the reality of Heaven and Hell, and teaches salvation by grace through faith in Jesus Christ and the repentance of sin.
