On a quiet stretch of East Fallbrook Street in Fallbrook, California, Servant's Church (also known as Calvary Chapel Fallbrook) gathers each week around a simple conviction: that the Son of Man came not to be served, but to serve. Mark 10:45 anchors the church's identity, and the church's own name - Servant's Church - flows directly from that verse. Since 1977, this congregation has welcomed neighbors from Fallbrook and the surrounding communities of Bonsall, Rainbow, and greater North County San Diego into a body that prizes humble service, faithful Bible teaching, and gospel-shaped relationships across generations and languages.
Sundays in English and Spanish
English Sunday services meet at 8:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. in the main Sanctuary at 1109 E. Fallbrook St. The 10:30 a.m. gathering is livestreamed for those who cannot attend in person. Both services are designed to be relaxed and reverent, with heartfelt worship and meaningful, verse-by-verse teaching through Scripture. A Spanish-speaking congregation, Ministerio Español, meets at the same campus with Casa de Oración at 8:00 a.m. and the main service at 8:30 a.m. on Sundays, followed by a Wednesday evening Bible study called El Evangelio Cronológicamente at 7:00 p.m. The English and Spanish ministries share one campus and one mission, even as each serves its own community in its own language.
A People of the Word
Servant's Church belongs to the Calvary Chapel family of churches and holds to a straightforward doctrinal foundation. The church teaches that the Old and New Testaments are the verbally inspired, God-breathed Word of God, inerrant in the original manuscripts and the final authority for faith and life. There is one living and true God, eternally existing in three co-equal persons - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The congregation affirms the full deity and humanity of Jesus Christ, His sinless life, His substitutionary death, His literal bodily resurrection, His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and His promised return. The Holy Spirit is confessed as the one who convicts, regenerates, indwells, sanctifies, and empowers every believer, distributing spiritual gifts for the building up of the body. Salvation is the gift of God, received by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. These convictions are held with humility and gratitude and shape everything the church teaches, sings, and does.
Four Decades of Verse-by-Verse Teaching
Servant's Church was founded in 1977 as part of the Calvary Chapel movement, beginning as a small gathering shaped by verse-by-verse teaching, faithful prayer, and a desire to live out the gospel in everyday life. Over more than forty years the Lord has used this church to reach families, serve neighbors, and build relationships throughout Fallbrook and beyond. Much has changed in the surrounding community, but the foundation has not: Scripture is taught faithfully, people are loved well, and hearts are continually pointed toward Christ. The church sees its history less as a list of programs and milestones and more as a record of God's faithfulness worked out through ordinary people saying yes to His call.
The Forge and Calvary Kids
Children and students have a clear place in the life of the church. Calvary Kids welcomes children from infancy through 5th grade in the Children's Building, offering safe, joyful rooms where trained volunteers speak life, listen well, and present age-appropriate teaching rooted in Scripture. Hands-on activities help truth take root, and check-in details along with room locations are clearly outlined for first-time families. For students in 6th through 12th grade, The Forge meets in the B-Building for youth group on Wednesday mornings and a Sunday gathering during the school year, creating space for honest questions, safe leaders, games, service projects, and real conversation about following Jesus. The goal is the same in both rooms: that every child and every student would come to know God personally and learn to serve Him boldly in every season that follows.
Brotherhood for Men, Tables for Women
The men's and women's ministries meet the specific callings and rhythms of each. Men's Ministry gathers men around Scripture, prayer, and accountability through weekly and seasonal small group studies, monthly breakfasts and work days, retreats, and local service projects. The annual Ironwood Camp weekend in Newberry Springs gives men a chance to unplug and grow together, and a yearly One-Day Conference focuses on identity, calling, and reflecting God's character. Women's Ministry offers Bible and book studies, worship and prayer nights, seasonal gatherings, mentoring, and service opportunities. Recent studies have walked through Anne Graham Lotz's "Jesus in Me" and a seven-week journey through 1 and 2 Thessalonians, alongside monthly potluck craft nights like Wonderfully Made that build friendships around shared food and conversation.
Life Around Tables, Not Rows
Lifestyle Groups are the small-group heartbeat of the church, meeting in homes, local spaces, and at the campus throughout the year. Current groups include a Tuesday afternoon gathering led by Pastor Armando in Bonsall, an evening Tuesday group in Fallbrook led by Stephen Spencer, a Wednesday evening group led by Ted Gray, and a Thursday evening group led by Bob Butler and Mike Nelson. For those who feel a prompt to open their home or guide a study, the church offers a simple approval process with training, resources, and ongoing pastoral care. Bible and topical studies, prayer gatherings, and short series add other entry points into community. The Tuesday Morning Prayer Group meets weekly at 8:00 a.m. in the B-Building and is open in person or by phone, lifting up praises, burdens, and requests in a quiet, unhurried rhythm.
Love Made Visible in Fallbrook
Local outreach at Servant's Church - collectively called ServantHearts Ministries - is built around long-standing partnerships and simple, ongoing acts of care. Hope House provides refuge, stability, and relational care for women and children facing homelessness or crisis. Jesus House, located just west of the post office in Fallbrook, walks with men as they rebuild their lives through sober living, accountability, weekly Bible study, potluck meals, and shared service to the community. Hope on the Go is a monthly outreach that meets neighbors in a local parking lot with food, conversation, Bibles, and prayer. Meals Ministry prepares and delivers warm meals to families in seasons of illness, recovery, or transition. Servant's Produce Stand sets out fresh fruits, vegetables, eggs, and homemade goods each Sunday morning for anyone who needs them, with a donation box supporting the work of the church. Puzzles & Prose offers a monthly exchange of gently used Christian books and complete jigsaw puzzles before and after the first-Sunday service. The Welcome Team, Worship and AV teams, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and Good News Club round out the local network, each providing a clear way for members to step into service that fits their gifts.
From Maneadero to Pattaya to County Mayo
The same impulse that animates local outreach carries the church across borders. In Maneadero, Mexico, the church partners with Pastor Francisco and his wife Eva, supporting their local outreach through hands-on mission trips several times a year, a backpack and supplies drive for students, and an annual Mexico Christmas Mission Trip that delivers gifts and encouragement to families. In Ethiopia, the church partners with indigenous ministry leaders to plant gospel-centered churches in unreached areas, with the work already resulting in multiple new churches, hundreds of former Muslims coming to faith, and the installation of clean water filtration systems. In Pattaya, Thailand, missionary partners walk alongside women and men emerging from exploitation and trafficking through education, discipleship, and the ShearLove beauty and barber program, where students have been baptized and transformed by the gospel. In Ireland, the church invests in long-term relationship with local pastors and ministries, supporting a slow, patient renewal of faith through presence, prayer, and shared life. Members can support each partnership through prayer, giving, and short-term trips.
Pastors and a Welcoming Front Door
Servant's Church is shepherded by a team of pastors: Armando Garcia, Walter Wolmart (who also serves the Spanish-speaking congregation), Phils Sabordo, and Sebastian Nuno. Visitors who arrive on a Sunday morning are greeted by the Welcome Team and invited to find a seat, a connection card, and a next step. Those who want to talk further can fill out a "Get Connected" form to be welcomed personally, request prayer, explore a group, or learn about outreach opportunities. The church office is open Tuesday through Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., and by appointment on Friday.
