About Apostolic Church of Christ

The Apostolic Church sits along North Squirrel Road in Auburn Hills, Michigan, just north of Detroit, where it has welcomed neighbors from across Oakland County for decades. The congregation is known for warm gatherings that fill the building three times a week with worship, teaching, and groups for every age. Pastors Steve and Renee Warman lead a body shaped by Pentecostal conviction and a simple purpose: to love God and love people.

Sunday Mornings and Wednesday Nights

Sunday mornings at AC follow a two-part rhythm. At 10:00 a.m. the building opens for an hour of groups and classes for all ages, with Bible teaching and connection for kids, youth, adults, and seniors meeting at the same time. At 11:00 a.m. the congregation gathers for the main worship service, a corporate experience built around dynamic music and a sermon from the pastors. American Sign Language interpretation is available during the 11:00 a.m. service.

On Wednesday evenings at 7:00 p.m., the building fills again. Groups and classes for every age meet throughout the hallways and rooms, giving midweek believers a chance to study, pray, and build friendships. Services are livestreamed on YouTube for those who cannot attend in person, and giving is available online through Pushpay.

Pastors Steve and Renee Warman

Steve Warman began preaching in 1987, traveling across the United States and internationally and holding services that saw lives transformed. He married Renee in 1992, and the two continued ministering together until 1994, when they stepped into their first pastoral role as Youth Pastors at The Apostolic Church. From 1994 to 2000 they discipled the next generation, laying a foundation for what followed. In 2002 Steve and Renee became the Lead Pastors of AC, where they continue to lead with vision and a heart for revival. Their shared passion is to see people saved, set free, and thriving in a healthy, Spirit-filled church community. They are the parents of four children and one grandchild.

What AC Believes

The congregation's beliefs are rooted in the Bible and summarized around five anchors. Salvation is a free gift from God, received by grace through faith in the atoning sacrifice of Jesus Christ, not by human effort. The Great Commission calls believers to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with love, mercy, and compassion to all nations. AC believes in one God who has revealed Himself as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Water baptism by immersion in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ is practiced as an outward identification with the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ. The church also believes in the baptism of the Holy Spirit and the manifestation of His gifts, including tongues, interpretation, prophecy, words of knowledge and wisdom, discernment of spirits, faith, miracles, healing, helps, and governments.

A Place for Every Age: Kids Through Seniors

Children's ministry at AC is divided into four age groups, each with its own space, teachers, and curriculum. Babies and toddlers from six months to twenty-four months play in a safe environment built around creative play and worship. Juniors, ages two through five, discover God's love through Bible stories, music, crafts, and play. The Kids class, for kindergarten through third grade, combines interactive Bible lessons, worship, games, and creative activities. Bridge, for fourth and fifth graders, helps preteens own their faith through discussion, worship, and small group time before moving into youth ministry.

Check-in opens fifteen minutes before each service, and parents receive a secure pickup tag with a randomly assigned code that matches their child's name tag. Only a parent or guardian holding the matching tag can pick up a child. If a child needs a parent during service, the family receives a text message; if it goes unanswered, a code appears on the screen in the auditorium.

Youth meet Sundays at 10 a.m. in The Hangout for casual conversation and Bible-centered conversation before service, and Wednesdays at 7 p.m. for youth services, worship, small groups, and teaching. Every fifth Wednesday is Invite Night, when the youth group throws a party and welcomes friends.

Young Adults, ages eighteen to thirty, also meet Sundays at 10 a.m. and Wednesdays at 7 p.m., building a Christ-centered community of love, accountability, and purpose.

AC Ladies exists to foster meaningful connections and spiritual growth for women of every generation. The ministry hosts quarterly Flourish Gatherings on Saturdays for worship and encouragement, an annual HER Night each fall, a Sunday small group at 10 a.m., and a Tuesday prayer time at 10:30 a.m.

AC Gold is the senior adult ministry. Each Sunday at 10:00 a.m., seniors gather in the dining hall for classic gospel music, congregational singing, and a Bible lesson taught by one of the pastors or bishops. Doors open early for coffee, donuts, and conversation, and the group hosts a Christmas celebration, a Hawaiian luau, and small groups throughout the year. A men's ministry complements the women's and seniors' groups, helping men lead their families and communities.

Rooted and Small Groups

Two paths help newcomers get connected. Rooted is a four-week Sunday class that walks through AC's history, beliefs, and vision, meeting after the morning service. Small Groups meet in homes and around the area throughout the week, with the goal that no one walks through life alone. A directory of current groups is available online.

Hands-On Outreach in Oakland County

Outreach at AC is hands-on and local. Second Saturday is a monthly service day when volunteers tackle yard clean-ups, minor repairs, and acts of kindness across the neighborhood. The Oakland County Jail Ministry visits incarcerated men and women weekly with prayer and Bible-based encouragement. Safe Harbor is a community hub where the church provides food, clothing, and compassion to anyone in need. Drive-Thru Prayer stations volunteers along a route where drivers can pull up and receive prayer without leaving their cars.

A Christian School Next Door

The Auburn Hills Christian School shares the AC campus and is connected to the church's broader ministry of faith formation for the next generation. Together the school and church form a single hub for families in northern Oakland County, with worship, education, and outreach rooted in one neighborhood on North Squirrel Road.
